The mangrove project is a collaboration between PT. Pertamina DPPU Ngurah Rai Bali and Bendega.id. The project was launched on Thursday September 3 2020 and aimed to plant 4000 mangrove trees in Pantai Kelan Badung. The mangrove species that were planted were Mucronata and Apiculata.
The mangrove project was a success with the help of 9 people who were dedicated to making this project a reality. The project location, Pantai Kelan Badung, is a vital area for mangrove conservation as it serves as a habitat for a variety of marine life. By planting these mangroves, the project aimed to protect the coastal ecosystem and provide a habitat for endangered species.
Mangroves are important in protecting coastlines from erosion and natural disasters, such as typhoons and tsunamis. The mangroves in this project will not only serve as a habitat for marine life, but also as a source of livelihood for local communities, who can use the mangrove products for their daily needs.
