PT. Pelindo is a state-owned enterprise that specializes in logistics. Recently, the company has collaborated with Bendega.id, an environmental organization, to launch a mangrove reforestation project called "PT. Pelindo Mangrove Project." The project is located in Hutan Akame, Badung, and aims to restore and protect the local mangrove ecosystem.
Bendega.id serves as the main executor of the project, working closely with PT. Pelindo to ensure the success of the initiative. To date, the team has planted 150,000 trees of the mangrove species Rhizopora Mucronata in Hutan Akame. The choice of this species is significant as it is known for its fast growth and ability to adapt to different environments.
The PT. Pelindo Mangrove Project also involves the participation of local fishermen. 15 fishermen from the surrounding communities have joined the initiative, contributing to the planting and maintenance of the trees. This not only helps to protect the mangrove ecosystem but also provides an additional source of income for the fishermen and their families.
Overall, the PT. Pelindo Mangrove Project is an important initiative that not only helps to protect the local environment but also empowers the local community. The collaboration between PT. Pelindo and Bendega.id demonstrates the positive impact that can be achieved when businesses and organizations work together for a common cause. With the continued support of the local community, the project is expected to continue to grow and thrive in the years to come.
