The mangrove project was a collaboration between KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang and Bendega.id. The project aimed to plant 2000 Mucronata mangrove trees in Hutan Mangrove Pemogan on Monday November 16 2020. The mangrove plantation was carried out with the help of 40 people. The involvement of the local community was deemed essential for the success of the project.
The mangrove trees were carefully selected based on their ability to adapt to the local climate and soil type. The Mucronata species was chosen because it is well-suited to the area and known for its ability to reduce soil erosion. The planting process was carried out according to the best practices for mangrove tree planting, to ensure their survival and growth.
The project was carried out with the goal of improving the health of the local mangrove ecosystem and enhancing its ability to provide important environmental benefits. The mangroves play a crucial role in maintaining the health of the local marine environment and providing habitats for various species of marine animals and plants. By planting 2000 new mangrove trees, the project aimed to contribute to the restoration of the mangrove ecosystem and ensure its continued health and resilience.
The project was a success, with all 2000 mangrove trees successfully planted and cared for by the local community. The community was fully engaged in the project and involved in all aspects of the plantation process. With their help, the mangrove trees have been given the best possible start to thrive and grow. The success of the project was an example of how collaboration between organizations and local communities can result in successful and meaningful environmental initiatives.
